Gain confidence, learn the basics, and experience the joy of open water in a safe, supportive environment.

If you’re new to open water swimming and looking to build confidence, these small-group Dip Your Toe In sessions are the perfect place to start. With no more than four people per session, the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and completely pressure-free—no expectations around distance or stroke technique.

These sessions are ideal for complete beginners or anyone curious about cold water swimming. You’ll learn how to enter the water safely, understand what happens to your body in cold conditions, and discover how mindset and breathing techniques can help you feel calm and in control.

Led by me, a qualified STA Open Water Swimming Coach, each session takes place in a beautiful lochs—an inspiring and peaceful setting for your first outdoor swim.
