Join us for a relaxed summer weekend exploring the beautiful Machars peninsula in south-west Scotland. Expect wild swimming, coastal walks, good food, and great company. This is a chance to slow down, connect with nature and enjoy a laid-back outdoor adventure.
Accommodation is at a bunkhouse in Whithorn, providing a comfortable base for the weekend’s swimventures and exploring.
Weekend Itinerary
Friday
Arrive pm and settle in at the bunkhouse in Whithorn. In the early evening we’ll head to the Isle of Whithorn for a refreshing coastal swim. Afterwards there is the option to enjoy a drink in the harbour pub before returning to the bunkhouse for a relaxed late supper.
Saturday
Breakfast at the bunkhouse before heading to Garlieston for a scenic coastal walk to the beautiful Cruggleton Arch. After the walk we’ll enjoy a swim at Rigg Bay, followed by food at The Hive (food at your own cost). Return to the bunkhouse for supper and a relaxed evening.
Sunday
Morning swim at St Medan’s to start the day. Afterwards we’ll head to St Medan’s Golf Club for brunch (at your own cost). After brunch, it’s time to say goodbye and make your way home feeling refreshed and reset.
